USUBC'S MISSION AND PROGRAM
The primary activities of USUBC include promoting the development of bilateral trade and economic relations through regular interaction and communication between business and political leaders in the U.S. and Ukraine, and supporting initiatives to improve the investment climate in Ukraine, to affirm the rule of law, to enhance competition, and to increase the transparency of business procedures.















USUBC's Core Mission
As the leading business association focused on U.S.-Ukraine economic cooperation, USUBC actively advocates for policies that foster a stable, transparent, and competitive business environment. Through dynamic programs, high-level networking, and a tailored approach to each member company, the Council provides its members with unique opportunities for business and project development, strategic partnership building, and navigating the evolving market landscape. In pursuit of this mission, USUBC is committed to advancing key priorities, including:
Ensuring U.S. Business Interests Are Represented – Advocating for U.S. businesses in policy discussions and ensuring their viewpoint is given the highest consideration in U.S. Government policies toward Ukraine.
Promoting Economic Growth & Market Development – Strengthening the understanding of U.S. businesses’ commitment to Ukraine’s economic transformation, both in the public and private sectors.
Engaging with Ukrainian Decision-Makers – Communicating U.S. business views to Ukrainian policymakers and industry leaders on key regulatory, legal, and economic matters that impact trade and investment.
Facilitating High-Level Business Engagement – Creating opportunities for direct connections between USUBC members and senior Ukrainian government and business leaders, working to eliminate barriers to trade and investment and unlock new economic opportunities.
LEGAL STATUS
The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council is incorporated in the District of Columbia as a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association.
GOVERNANCE
Council policies are established by the Board of Directors, where each Regular Member holds a seat. The Board of Directors meets at least once per year.
Between board meetings, its powers are exercised by the elected Executive Committee. The Officers of the corporation include the President and Secretary/Treasurer. The President also serves as the Council’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
- USUBC is the largest Ukraine-centered business and trade association headquartered outside of Ukraine.
- USUBC represents over 200 members from key sectors of the economy, including defense, agriculture, energy, IT, finance, and more.
- Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., USUBC has been actively promoting and strengthening U.S.-Ukraine business, investment, and trade relations as a non-governmental association.

USUBC established
The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) was founded in Washington, D.C. by 20 major U.S. companies, including ADM, Cargill, Bunge, Boeing, and Westinghouse, to promote U.S.-Ukraine business cooperation.

CEO and President
Morgan Williams became USUBC President & CEO; USUBC set up its Kyiv-based team, amplifying U.S.-Ukraine economic partnership on-the-ground in Ukraine.

Invest in Ukraine
The “Invest in Ukraine” campaign was launched to promote investment opportunities in infrastructure and manufacturing.

Ukrainian Agrarian Congress
The Ukrainian Agrarian Congress – a major U.S.-Ukraine agriculture policy forum held in Washington, D.C.

Bilateral trade relations
Strengthening trade ties – expanding bilateral business cooperation between the two countries, intensifying programming and advocacy efforts.

Rebuild Ukraine initiative
The “Rebuild Ukraine” initiative – mobilizing private sector support for reconstruction and enhancing business resilience following Russia’s full-scale invasion.

US-Ukraine Defence Industrial base forum
The U.S.-Ukraine Defense Industrial Base Forum – co-hosted with the U.S. National Security Council, as well as the Departments of Defense, State, and Commerce.

Supporting Ukraine's armed forces
Establishing the USUBC Defense Working Group with over 50 member companies, and Energy/Minerals Core Group to explore opportunities under the framework of the U.S.-Ukraine Economic Partnership in the areas of energy, minerals, reconstruction and the newly launched Reconstruction Investment Fund.
